Whilst unemployment is still rising, it does appear to be levelling out. However Charnwood still has 3 wards in the top 10 in Leicestershire for unemployment and 6 of the top 10 for young people (16-18) not in education, employment or training.

The East Midlands Transition Loan Fund (TLF) is making £6m available to businesses across the region. The TLF will provide small to medium sized businesses with individual loans of between £50,000 and £250,000 for up to three years.
