Nearly 97% of the businesses in Leicestershire employ less than 50 people so the are vitally important to its economy. However Charnwood is joint lowest district in the County in terms of the percentage of its people who are self-employed.

In particular, both Leicestershire and Loughborough Chambers, the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and for technology based companies, LATI are there to help you build up local contacts. There are also business clubs in some of the larger towns & villages such as Syston and Barrow upon Soar.
